Hi,
We are Radhika and Amit — the duo behind Gulaboo, but let’s be honest… Gulaboo is really Radhika’s heart project, which my husband was lovingly dragged into over a cup of chai.
What started as a casual conversation became a dream to bring the real flavours of India to Australia, not the “spicy food” stereotype, but the soft, soulful, nuanced flavours we grew up with on the streets of Delhi.
We have always believed that food carries stories, and as we stepped into business, we wanted those stories to feel personal. Every dish we make comes from memories of hosting at home — laughter around the table, recipes passed down from generations, little twists we added just for fun.
Our Food is something that always makes guests say, “You HAVE to sell this.” So we did.
And then came our coconut bites, an idea born from us thinking, “People enjoy cupcakes and cookies because they come in flavours… so why shouldn’t coconut?” We married coconut with flavours like rose, pistachio, paan, tiramisu and more, and suddenly these little bites became everyone’s new favourite.
What started in our kitchen is now something we’re so proud to share with you all.
At Gulaboo, we believe gifts should feel personal, not generic, not last-minute, not “just something.” So we pour our hearts into creating customised hampers that feel like love, nostalgia, and celebration all wrapped together. As new in running a small business, every order, every smile, every message saying “this made someone’s day” means the world to us.
